Qatar commutes the death punishment for Indian ex-navy officers

A court in Qatar has decided to commute the death sentences of eight former Indian naval officers, as confirmed by India's foreign ministry. The Israeli embassy in India declined to comment on the matter, emphasizing that it was "not an Israeli matter."

In October, India expressed deep shock after the eight men were initially sentenced to death.
