According to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Commemoration Day is a significant occasion on which the country pays respect to those who selflessly lost their life in defense of the UAE, its people, its ideals, and its sovereignty. In a statement issued to commemorate Commemoration Day, which is commemorated on November 30 each year, His Highness emphasized that the sacrifices made by the UAE's courageous heroes for their country would continue to inspire future generations and serve as symbols of pride and honor for every Emirati man and woman in perpetuity.
