In a significant development, Pakistan achieved a milestone in its defense capabilities as it successfully conducted a flight test of the Fatah-II weapon system on Wednesday. The Fatah-II is equipped with cutting-edge avionics, and a sophisticated navigation system, and employs a unique flight trajectory.

Capable of engaging targets with remarkable precision at a range of up to 400 kilometers, the successful flight test was observed by senior officers from the tri-services, along with dedicated scientists and engineers.

Leadership, including President Arif Alvi, caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the chief of army staff, extended their congratulations to the troops and scientists involved in the successful test.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released a video showcasing the test fire, conducted at an undisclosed location, highlighting the system's accuracy in hitting the target.

The Fatah-II missile system plays a crucial role in strengthening deterrence and enhancing strategic stability in the region. It operates within the framework of Full Spectrum Deterrence, contributing to the overall construct of credible minimum deterrence.

This achievement follows Pakistan's successful training launch of the Ghauri Weapon System on October 24, which aimed at assessing the operational and technical readiness of the Army Strategic Force Command. Additionally, on October 18, the country conducted a successful flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System, focusing on re-validating designs, and technical parameters, and evaluating the performance of various sub-systems within the weapon system.
