The Arshi Shopping Mall fire in Karachi has claimed five lives
On Thursday, the number of fatalities from the fire at Karachi's Arshi Shopping Mall increased to five after rescue workers discovered a second corpse during a clearing operation. On Wednesday night, a fire broke out in foam businesses in Karachi's Ayesha Manzil and swiftly spread to residential apartments. After being removed from the mall's ground level, the body was sent to the Civil Hospital's Burns Ward. After hours of fighting, the rescue crew put out the fire. Following the completion of the procedure by the fire brigade officials, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab stated that the authorities would quantify the damages. For everyone's safety, 1122 authorities issued a warning, saying, "The affected building is at risk of collapse at any time." They also asked people to avoid the building's grounds. It has been reported by Rescue 1122 that 300 people have safely left the impacted building. Thankfully, no reports of damage to surrounding structures have been made.
