His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai visited the Hatta Festival, an event organized by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), in collaboration with the Supreme Committee Overseeing Hatta Development. The inaugural edition of the festival aims to showcase Hatta's unique attractions and diverse experiences, emphasizing its status as an authentic tourist destination.
During the visit, His Highness was briefed on the variety of events and activities featured in the festival, coinciding with the third edition of the Dubai Destinations campaign. The Crown Prince praised the festival's concept, highlighting its goal to spotlight Hatta's distinctive features, including tourist sites, natural wonders, cultural events, sports activities, dining experiences, and luxury resorts. Expressing appreciation, he directed that the event become an annual occurrence, contributing to Hatta's reputation as a global tourist hub.
His Highness emphasized the visionary leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, as an inspiration for initiatives advancing the development model outlined for areas beyond major cities. He acknowledged Hatta's role as a model of economic development and youth empowerment, contributing to the region's overall welfare.
Highlighting Dubai's commitment to developing tourist destinations in line with global standards and local cultural distinctiveness, His Highness reiterated the vision and directives of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. He emphasized the investment in Dubai's extensive potential, encompassing its rich heritage, natural diversity, and archaeological treasures.
The Crown Prince underlined the importance of winter season campaigns in Dubai, focusing on family attractions to draw both local and international visitors. His Highness expressed satisfaction with the projects benefiting the region's residents, particularly the youth, and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of families enjoying Hatta's unique winter ambiance. He committed to further developing Hatta and showcasing its rich history to the world.
During the visit, His Highness toured Hatta's prominent tourist attractions, including the Al Sharea area, Hatta Heritage Village, and Leem Parkāthe focal point of the festival. He was updated on various projects initiated by young Hatta residents, providing a platform for them to promote their products. The Crown Prince also visited the GoGravity project, the first outdoor zorbing track in the Middle East.
The Hatta Festival features cultural, sports, and social events, as well as creative workshops for various segments of society. The festival aligns with Dubai's comprehensive development plan for the Hatta region, initiated in October 2021, aiming for holistic development and infrastructure enhancement over the next two decades.
