Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) concluded its 114th open auction for exclusive vehicle number plates, marking the final auction of the year, with a total revenue exceeding Dh51 million. The auction took place at the Grand Hyatt Dubai Hotel on Saturday, December 30, 2023.

The highlight of the auction was the sale of plate AA30, which fetched Dh4.54 million, securing the top spot. Following closely, plate O48 sold for Dh2.48 million, plate AA555 garnered Dh2.56 million, and plate T64 was acquired for Dh2.4 million. Additionally, plate Q66666 was sold for Dh1.61 million.

The auction featured 90 fancy plates with two, three, four, and five digits, falling under categories such as AA, I, J, M, N, O, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y, and Z.

RTA's approach to offering distinctive license plates at open or online auctions revolves around principles of impartiality, transparency, and equal opportunities.
