Junaid Jamshed, a renowned pop star who later became a televangelist, is being remembered on the seventh anniversary of his passing. Born in Karachi on September 3, 1964, Jamshed initially worked as an engineer for the Pakistan Air Force before achieving success in the music industry. During the 1990s, Jamshed gained global prominence as the lead singer of the popular band Vital Signs. Hits like "Dil Dil Pakistan," "Namumkin," and "Goray Rang ka Zamana" brought them widespread acclaim. However, in 2004, at the peak of his fame, Jamshed surprised the world by leaving the music industry and embracing his Islamic faith. Today, fans and followers fondly commemorate Junaid Jamshed's contributions to music and his subsequent role as a televangelist. In 2004, Junaid Jamshed made the formal decision to renounce music and engineering, dedicating his life to Islam. In recognition of his contributions, the government of Pakistan honored him with the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in 2007. Tragically, in 2016, Jamshed and his wife lost their lives in a plane crash near Havelian. They were on a mission to promote the teachings of Islam in Chitral.
