Dubai Announces Free Parking and Altered Public Transportation Timings for New Year's Holiday
Dubai residents and visitors will enjoy free parking across most public spaces in the city during the New Year's holiday on Monday, January 1, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). The initiative covers all paid zones except for multi-level terminals, with parking meters set to be reactivated on Tuesday, January 2.
Additionally, the RTA announced that its customer happiness centers and service provider centers for technical testing will be closed on January 1. However, smart customer happiness centers in Umm Ramool, Deira, Al Barsha, Al Kifaf, and the RTA's Head Office will continue to operate 24/7, ensuring accessibility for essential services.
For public transportation, Dubai Metro's Red and Green Lines will operate continuously from 8:00 am on Sunday, December 31, to 11:59 pm on Monday. Dubai Tram services will run without interruption from 9:00 am on Sunday, December 31, to 1:00 am on Tuesday, January 2.
The RTA also announced adjustments in the timings for public bus and marine transport services on December 31 and January 1. The move aims to facilitate convenient and efficient transportation options for individuals celebrating the New Year's holiday in Dubai.
As residents and visitors prepare to welcome the New Year, these measures by the RTA aim to enhance accessibility and convenience across transportation and parking services during the holiday period.
