His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the Dubai Social Agenda 33, a comprehensive plan for the Dubai community until 2033, with a focus on the theme "Family: The Foundation of Our Nation." This annual tradition, unveiled on January 4th, marks the anniversary of Sheikh Mohammed's accession as the Ruler of Dubai.
The Dubai Social Agenda 33, with a budget of AED 208 billion until 2033, targets Emirati families in Dubai across various aspects of life, including housing, quality of life, identity, values, social cohesion, healthcare, and equipping the new generation with future skills. The ambitious plan aims to double the number of Emirati families within a decade and provide residential neighborhoods offering the world's highest standard of living.
Sheikh Mohammed stressed the importance of protecting, empowering, and supporting families, emphasizing that the nation is made up of families and people, not just buildings and figures. The agenda, overseen by Sheikh Mohammed's sons Hamdan, Maktoum, Ahmed, and their brothers, outlines clear objectives and programs to be implemented with the allocated budget.
The Dubai Social Agenda 33 complements the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), focusing on sustainable social development and providing services in healthcare, housing, education, culture, sports, and community that directly benefit individuals.
Under the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed, the agenda aims to make Dubai one of the world's top three cities in terms of living standards, accelerate social development among Dubai families, and address various citizen concerns. The government support for the agenda, totaling AED 208 billion, operates under two key pillars: healthcare and community development.
Key objectives of the Dubai Social Agenda 33 include turning Dubai into one of the world's top three cities in living standards, achieving a healthy life expectancy ranking among the top ten globally, and placing the quality of education in Dubai among the world's top ten cities. Additionally, the agenda aims to triple the number of Emiratis working in the private sector, provide land plots and loans for new Emirati families, and double the number of new Emirati families in Dubai by 2033.
