Pakistan aims to deport one million undocumented immigrants by the end of January

Jan Achakzai, the interim minister for information for Balochistan, stated on Thursday that one million illegal immigrants must be deported by January 30, 2024, according to a government mandate. Our goal is to deport up to 10,000 undocumented workers per day. In an interview with APP, he stated that since the deadline for leaving Pakistan voluntarily expired, almost 500,000 illegal immigrants had been returned. He stated that all undocumented immigrants in Pakistan have been issued an ultimatum by the caretaker administration to leave the country by October 31 or face incarceration and deportation, according to the decision made by the Apex Committee during its meeting in October 2023. He continued, saying that the caretaker administration began a significant crackdown on illegal immigration once the deadline passed. "About 150,000 illegal immigrants have been repatriated to their native countries from Balochistan alone so far, aside from other provinces," stated Jan Achakzai, who also promised that the repatriation process will move forward without any delays. In response to a query, he described the Apex Committee's decision as sensible and stated that it was having a favorable impact on the nation's general economic and law and order conditions. He believed that "after the repatriation of all the illegal immigrants, the overall law and order and economy will improve." He reaffirmed the government's commitment to combating terrorism in Balochistan which is funded by India and stated that unemployment and poverty are not justifications for rebelling against the government. "All enemy machinations and covert plans to convert Baloch youngsters into armed rebels against state institutions have been exposed by Pakistan's astute measures. The young people whose brains were contaminated by RAW have now assimilated into the country's mainstream. The minister declared, "Pakistan's enemies, particularly India, have failed in their designs and all their efforts to harm its economy are also failing." Shambay Gulzar, an ex-militant who turned himself in and joined the mainstream, made statements that the struggle for rights could never be achieved by force or guns, which the minister applauded. He continued, saying that the unhappy elements had realized that using force was not the answer to their issues. Jan Achakzai further underlined that the components financed by India were being counted down and would soon be revealed. He went on, "Those who were planning to turn the defenseless people of Balochistan against the government have finally been brought to justice with their bloody politics." He expressed his happiness with the country's improved economic statistics and stated that Pakistan was moving in the right direction under the direction of Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar and the Army Chief.
