His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, participated in the Arab Strategy Forum 2024, focusing on "The Political and Economic State of the Arab World." Emphasizing the urgent need for the region to resolve conflicts and unite efforts for comprehensive prosperity, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the interconnectedness of security and prosperity. He underscored the collective responsibility of all to contribute to building a better future for generations to come.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of avoiding alignment with global polarizations for regional stability. He highlighted Palestine's significant place in the collective consciousness, commending the UAE's role in calling for an end to the conflict, protecting civilian lives, and providing humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Addressing the high human and resource costs of wars, Sheikh Mohammed urged an end to ongoing conflicts, advocating for maximum efforts toward achieving lasting peace. The Forum, attended by dignitaries including H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, focused on global thought leaders discussing political and economic issues.
Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the UAE's unique geographical position as a bridge for humanitarian and cultural exchanges, valuing diversity in political and economic perspectives. He expressed confidence in the GCC countries consolidating their influence regionally and globally, foreseeing positive impacts on the region and the world through economic diversification.
Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Chairman of the Arab Strategy Forum, outlined three trends shaping the future: developments related to the Palestinian cause, the emergence of GCC countries as global economic powers, and increasing polarization globally and within societies.
The Forum featured notable speakers, including His Royal Highness Prince Turki Al Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Dr Anwar Gargash, addressing key issues shaping the political and economic landscape of the Arab world and beyond.
