Attending a weekend trip to Abu Dhabi? Significant road closures are anticipated

Planning a visit to the capital this weekend? You might want to reconsider your plans due to the ADNOC Marathon taking place.

If changing your plans is not an option, it's crucial to be informed about the road closures affecting various parts of Abu Dhabi during the marathon on Saturday, December 16.

King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud Street will experience closures from 2 am to 7:30 am, while Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street will be closed from 3 am to 9 am. Corniche Street will undergo closures from 2 am to 2 pm, and Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street will be closed from 4 am to noon.

The marathon is scheduled to commence at 6 am, with a cutoff time of 12:15 pm. Additionally, a 10km race will take place at 6:30 am, followed by a 2.5km run at 8:45 am and a 5km run at 9:30 am.

Participants in the marathon will pass by prominent landmarks such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Qasr Al Hosn, and the World Trade Centre, concluding the race at ADNOC HQ.

For those not participating, consider visiting the race village, where various family-friendly activities and food trucks will be available.
