Public and private schools in the UAE are set to commence the second semester of the 2023-2024 academic year on Tuesday, welcoming approximately 1.15 million male and female students across all cycles. School administrations have assured their complete readiness to receive students, along with teaching, administrative, and technical staff.
The second semester, spanning 12 weeks or 59 school days, follows the approved school calendar. From January 8 to 12, schools will focus on analyzing and issuing results for the first semester. During the second semester, a trial test is scheduled between March 4 and 8, and students will take exams for Group B subjects within the same period. The end-of-second-semester exams are slated for March 13 to 22.
Spring break for teaching and administrative staff is scheduled from April 1 to April 12, while students will have a break from March 25 to April 12. All will return to school on April 15 for the third semester.
The last day of school is anticipated to be on June 14, leading into summer vacation starting July 1 for students and July 15 for teaching and administrative staff.
Schools have activated communication channels with parents through social networking sites, providing instructions and guidelines for a healthy return to school. Weekly plans and bus schedules have also been established, reflecting the commitment to offering high-quality education in a safe and stimulating environment.
