U.N. climate talks might skip by President Joe Biden beginning this week in Dubai

This week's annual climate talks in Dubai, which are anticipated to attract heads of state and diplomats from over 200 countries as well as the Vatican, are not going to be attended by President Joe Biden. He's been there twice before. The White House said that Special Envoy John Kerry, Climate Adviser Ali Zaidi, and Renewable Energy Adviser John Podesta will be traveling with a team focused on climate change. White House spokesman Angelo Fernández Hernández stated, "Although we don't have any travel updates to share for the president at this time, the administration looks forward to a robust and productive COP28." Biden's team would also keep expanding on the administration's initiatives "to tackle the climate crisis."
