H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, embarked on a significant working trip to the Federal Republic of Germany, reflecting the commitment to fortify the longstanding friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the UAE and Germany. The discussions encompassed various areas of mutual interest, including the latest developments in the Middle East and broader regional and international affairs.

During his visit, Sheikh Abdullah held constructive meetings with key figures such as Jens Plötner, the Foreign and Security Policy Advisor to the German Federal Chancellor, and a delegation from the Foreign Affairs Committee in the German Federal Parliament (Bundestag), led by Michael Roth, the Committee's Chairman. These engagements delved into reinforcing the bilateral ties and exploring avenues for collaboration to advance the shared interests of both nations and their citizens.

Sheikh Abdullah underscored the significance of cooperation across sectors and expressed pride in the robust UAE-German friendship. Discussions with Jens Plötner, members of the Foreign Affairs Committee, and Annalena Baerbock, the Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of Germany, centered on deepening cooperation and supporting development objectives.

Moreover, Sheikh Abdullah and the delegation addressed pressing regional issues, notably the situation in the Gaza Strip, emphasizing the importance of sustainable ceasefire efforts and urgent humanitarian assistance for the Palestinian people. The UAE reiterated its commitment to multilateral action to combat extremism and alleviate the suffering of civilians in conflict zones.

Emphasizing the need for a political solution to achieve comprehensive peace, Sheikh Abdullah reiterated support for a "two-state solution" and highlighted the aspirations of regional populations for security, stability, and prosperity.

In the realm of economic affairs, Sheikh Abdullah met with Dr. Robert Habeck, the Vice-Chancellor and German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Action, to explore avenues for enhancing economic ties within the comprehensive strategic partnership framework. Discussions with German business leaders and CEOs centered on fostering investment partnerships to bolster development initiatives in both countries.

Additionally, Sheikh Abdullah hosted a reception for Emirati students and individuals receiving medical treatment in Germany, as well as Germans with ties to the UAE. The event underscored the UAE's commitment to supporting its citizens abroad and fostering cultural exchange.

Attending the meetings and reception were prominent UAE officials including Mariam bint Mohammed Almheiri, Head of the International Affairs Office at the Presidential Court, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajri, Assistant Minister for Economic and Commercial Affairs, and Ahmed Alattar, UAE Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany.
