The Emir of Qatar opens the 44th GCC Summit, which the UAE President is leading
The President, His Excellency The UAE delegation to the 44th Session of the Gulf Cooperation Council Supreme Council was led by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the State of Qatar, opened the conference today in Doha. The summit's topics included how to further the GCC countries' long-standing collaboration and teamwork to fulfill the ambitions of their citizens. Key regional and global trends as well as cooperative initiatives in this area were discussed at the meeting. The Gulf Cooperation Council Secretary General Jasem Al-Budaiwi was present at the summit, along with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey. His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security; Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to the UAE President; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; and Sheikh Zayed bin Khalifa bin Sultan Al Nahyan, UAE Ambassador to Qatar were among the delegation that accompanied President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed.
