For cop28, RTA will reduce traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road
On Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, there will be pedestrian detours for three days to accommodate COP28 and the UAE's Union Day celebrations. The highway's segment headed toward Abu Dhabi, from the Trade Center Roundabout to the Expo Intersection, would be impacted, according to the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA). This detour will be operational from December 1st to December 3rd, from 7:00 am to 11:00 am. Alternative routes include Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Road, Emirates Road, Al Khail Road, Jumeirah Road, Al Wasl Road, and Al Khail Road are advised to be taken, according to the RTA. In addition, it encouraged people to take public transit and told drivers to pay attention to directional signage and information on their smart displays regarding temporary detours and other routes.
