Shoaib Malik becomes the first player in T20 history to hit 1,000 fours
On Sunday, Pakistan's famed hitter Shoaib Malik added another feather to his crown by becoming the country's first player to hit 1,000 fours in the T20 format. Malik completed an unprecedented accomplishment for Pakistan during a match between the Sialkot and Rawalpindi areas in the current National T20 Cup at Karachi's UBL Sports Complex. Malik, who has played 446 international matches for Pakistan, is the first Pakistani batsman to score 1000 fours in 482 innings of T20 cricket. In doing so, he became only the eighth player in cricket history to reach this milestone. He also achieved 400 sixes in the shorter format, making him the only Pakistani to accomplish so to date.
