Following the disappointing performance of the Green Shirts in the 2023 World Cup, Grant Bradburn was relieved of his duties as the head coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team. Subsequently, he was sent back to the National Cricket Academy (NCA).

The Kiwi mentor has now parted ways with the Pakistan Cricket Board, having joined an English county. Grant Bradburn expressed his gratitude on X, formerly Twitter, thanking everyone who supported him during his tenure with the PCB. His appointment as the head coach of the Pakistan men’s cricket team took place on May 13, 2023.

Grant Bradburn, a former off-spinner with Northern Districts, had an illustrious playing career representing New Zealand in seven Tests and 11 ODIs during the 1990s and 2000s. Transitioning to coaching, he took on various roles with Pakistan, culminating in his position as the national team’s head coach, which included overseeing their performance in the previous year’s World Cup. Bradburn has also previously served as the head coach of Scotland, notably leading them to a historic victory over England in Edinburgh in 2018.a
