Four Individuals Charged in Alleged Kidnapping Case in Sydney's West

Over the weekend, authorities charged three men and a woman in connection with the alleged kidnapping of a man in Sydney's western region. The 33-year-old purported victim was discovered within a residence on Webb Street in North Parramatta around 9:40 pm on Saturday.
Law enforcement alleges that the victim was forcibly detained. Upon discovery, he was treated for severe injuries to his face, body, and legs at the scene before being transported to the hospital in serious condition.
At the location, police apprehended a 40-year-old man, a 44-year-old man, and a 38-year-old woman. Subsequent investigation revealed drugs, ammunition, electronic devices, and items suspected to have been utilized in the purported kidnapping, all of which were seized for forensic analysis.
The trio has been formally charged with acts including taking or detaining someone with intent to gain advantage while inflicting bodily harm, as well as participating in a criminal organization and contributing to criminal activities. Additionally, authorities executed another search warrant at a unit complex in Lidcombe around 1 am, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old man who faces similar charges.
The 20-year-old suspect was denied bail and is scheduled to appear before Burwood Local Court. Meanwhile, the 40-year-old and the 38-year-old woman were also denied bail and are set to appear before court on February 28. The 44-year-old man, similarly denied bail, is scheduled for a court appearance on May 2.
