While COAS Munir and a Saudi general meet, the Middle East crisis is in focus

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir, was visited by Lieutenant General Fahd bin Abdullah Al-Mutair, Commander of the Royal Saudi Land Forces (RSLF), at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, the military's public affairs branch announced on Monday. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that during the meeting, the parties talked about several topics of shared interest, including regional issues and the current Middle East war as well as cooperation in the areas of defense, security, and military training. The interim truce between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip is now being worked to be extended by Qatar, Egypt, the United States, the European Union, and other nations. Numerous captives were exchanged between the two sides under the interim truce deal. More than 15,000 Palestinians, including over 6,200, have died as a result of Israeli aggression and shelling on civilian targets, including hospitals, since the Israel-Hamas conflict began on October 7. The visiting dignitary praised the sacrifices made to bring peace to the area and acknowledged the Pakistan Army's contribution to combating the threat of terrorism.
