Shadab Khan "joins" the Punjab Police force

Shadab Khan, an all-rounder for Pakistan, joined a law enforcement agency (LEA) on Wednesday, becoming the most recent cricket player to do so. Shadab joined the Punjab Police after being given the honorary title of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) by the province's senior police officer, Dr. Usman Anwar, according to a statement issued by the police on X, previously Twitter. Shadab has been named the brand ambassador for the provincial police, according to the announcement. It also stated that he was also briefed on the operations of several departments after his appointment.
In response to the recent development, Shadab expressed his enthusiasm at the prospect of joining the provincial police force. "I am honored to be appointed as a brand ambassador by Punjab IG, and I am very pleased to become a part of Punjab Police," he stated.
Shadab has been sidelined due to an injury, as Chief Selector Wahab Riaz announced in a press conference the day before that Shadab would not be part of the T20I squad for the New Zealand series.
"Shadab Khan is a crucial member of Pakistan T20 cricket. Unfortunately, he suffered an ankle injury during the National T20 and requires two additional weeks of rehabilitation. After that, he'll be available to bowl." It's noteworthy that pacers Haris Rauf and Shaheen Shah Afridi have also been bestowed with honorary police titles.
