In a pioneering initiative, Dubai Police recently organized a state-level arm wrestling championship exclusively for inmates. The event, a collaboration between the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, Dubai Police's 'Positive Spirit' initiative, and the Emirates Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation (EBBF), aims to foster a positive and rehabilitative environment for incarcerated individuals.

Brigadier Marwan Abdul Karim Julfar, director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, revealed that 70 inmates participated in the championship, competing in categories based on weight – over and under 90 kg. The unique event reflects Dubai Police's broader commitment to creating positive experiences and opportunities for the rehabilitation of inmates.

Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Mansouri, Director of the General Department of Community Happiness at Dubai Police, emphasized the significance of such activities and competitions in providing a positive and enriching physical and mental sports experience for the participants.
