The Umm Al Quwain Police General Command declared a 50% decrease in traffic infractions from December 1st to January 7th, the first week of January in the following year. Coinciding with the UAE's commemoration of the 52nd Union Day, Umm Al Quwain announced a 50% reduction in traffic infractions. According to the Umm Al Quwain Police General Command, all traffic infractions committed in the Emirate of Umm Al Quwain before 11-1-2023 are included in the 50% decrease, except serious offenses, which occurred from 12-1-2023 to 1-7-2024. The General Command of Umm Al Quwain Police's Traffic and Patrols Department issued a call to motorists and vehicle owners to seize the opportunity to curtail infractions and resolve the matter before the expiration of the designated timeframe. To prevent infractions and deadly car accidents, it also urged them to abide by the rules and laws.
