The #DubaiDestinations campaign is back to highlight the city's exceptional wintertime experiences

Under the guidance of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), has launched the third iteration of the #DubaiDestinations winter campaign. This initiative focuses on the distinctive locations, activities, and attractions that position Dubai as one of the world’s preferred winter retreats.

As a part of this campaign, Brand Dubai revealed its collaboration with the Supreme Committee Overseeing Hatta Development to introduce the inaugural Hatta Festival. This lively celebration integrates culture, sports, and family entertainment in the scenic mountain region of Dubai. The festival, taking place from December 15 to 31 at Leem Lake in Hatta and the Hatta Wadi Hub, serves as the centerpiece of the third edition of the #DubaiDestinations winter campaign, scheduled to run until February 2024. The campaign aims to narrate Dubai’s narrative as one of the premier global winter destinations through captivating stories from diverse sources about the emirate's unique winter activities and experiences.

To mark the launch, Brand Dubai conducted a press conference at GDMO, outlining key activations at the Hatta Festival and significant attractions that encapsulate the essence of the broader winter campaign. The introduction of the ‘Hatta Festival’ aligns with the leadership’s vision to transform Hatta into a prominent business, investment, and tourism hub, emphasizing the historical significance and natural wonders of the area.

Her Excellency Mona Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and Director General of the Government of Dubai Media Office, commended the role of the Supreme Committee Overseeing Hatta Development in enhancing the quality of life and experiences in the area. She expressed excitement about introducing the Hatta Festival as part of the new #DubaiDestinations winter campaign, providing a unique opportunity for residents and visitors to immerse themselves in the beauty and charm of the Hatta region.

Al-Marri highlighted Dubai's reputation as a sought-after winter destination and the decision to focus on the Hatta region, aligning with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai the world’s best city to live and visit.

Building on the achievements of past editions, the latest #DubaiDestinations campaign will narrate compelling storylines showcasing the emirate’s outstanding winter offerings even after the Hatta Festival concludes. Using interactive content on multiple platforms, the campaign invites residents and visitors to be part of Dubai’s growth story as a world-class winter destination.

The focal point of the festival, Leem Lake, is a three-hectare lake in the Hatta area surrounded by mountains, offering breathtaking landscapes and sunset scenes. The Hatta Festival, with diverse activities and attractions for families, aims to highlight the uniqueness and recent eco-friendly development of the region, promoting its cultural, historical, and natural treasures.
