Ras Al Khaimah marked the arrival of the New Year with a dazzling eight-minute firework and drone display that not only captivated onlookers but also secured two new Guinness World Records titles. The stunning spectacle, spanning a 4.5 km stretch of Ras Al Khaimah's waterfront, set records for the Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks (5.8 km) and the Longest straight-line drone display (2 km).

Known for its iconic New Year's Eve shows, Ras Al Khaimah used groundbreaking techniques, incorporating 1,050 LED drones, a mesmerizing 'carpet' of aquatic floating fireworks, and an acrobatic pyro planes display inspired by the Emirate's diverse natural landscapes – the desert, the sea, and the mountains. The entire presentation was intricately choreographed to specially composed music, enhancing the overall celebratory experience.

Raki Phillips, Chief Executive Officer of Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, expressed delight over breaking two more Guinness World Records titles, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration that brought together thousands of visitors and residents. He highlighted the exceptional tourism achievements in 2023, with Ras Al Khaimah reaching its highest-ever annual number of visitors, aiming to attract over 3 million annual visitors by 2030.
